APEX started the way most great things do — with a deep passion and a problem to solve. Our founders spent years hunting coins at shows, estate sales, and private collections, frustrated by the lack of transparency and excitement in traditional auction formats.
When live streaming emerged as a platform for authentic, real-time connection, we saw the opportunity immediately. We brought the thrill of the auction floor directly to collectors' homes — with expert commentary, real grades, and no smoke and mirrors.

Nearly six years in numismatics and counting. His coin of choice? The 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter — a design so bold the Mint had to dial it back within a year.

Nicholas has been in numismatics for nearly six years and he'll tell you exactly what coin has his heart without missing a beat — the 1916 and early 1917 Type I Standing Liberty Quarter. His words: it was "too hot for its time." A coin so boldly designed that the Mint had to dial it back within a year. That's the kind of history that keeps him hooked.
Outside of coins, Nicholas is in the kitchen experimenting with whatever dish he hasn't tried yet — new cuisines, unfamiliar techniques, ambitious weeknight cooking. He's also the Dungeon Master for his D&D group, which mostly means spending hours building elaborate worlds and then watching his "group of degenerates" creatively dismantle everything he planned. He wouldn't have it any other way.
And if you really want to see Nicholas in his element, find the nearest karaoke bar. He's there for the music, sure — but mostly he's there for the moment someone stops overthinking it and just screams their favorite song into the mic. That's the good stuff.
